'Curious Connections'.

So...after a lift into Stanthorpe from our neighbour, a bus to Brisbane, a night in an airport hotel and an early morning flight I made it to Wagga Wagga.

Will has been here nearly four weeks with Tracy and Rochelle for an artist's residency. They spent the first two weeks camping out on two different regenerative farms on the banks of the mighty Murrumbidgee River near Wagga, fixing fences, herding cattle, gaining knowledge and inspiration, and in Will's case numerous recordings before spending the last two weeks in the Art Space at the Art Gallery in Wagga Wagga producing work and talking to any interested visitors about their experiences and work.

The residency is coming to an end on Sunday with a 'Field Day' back at the farms but I was there yesterday when they held a 'Thank You' afternoon nibbles for the Gallery Staff.

It has been a great success. The group of  regenerative farmers who fund the programme as well as the Gallery have been 'blown away' by the group's energy and enthusiasm and their knowledge and insight so much so that there is now talk of a possible exhibition collaboration between the Wagga and Grafton galleries. It's all exciting.

Somewhere over NSW.
