Usually outside every school here there is a large sign like this:
Spot the mistake.
I think it is a great idea and it's something that could be copied in the UK. Sometimes they have reminders of open days on them, sometimes they celebrate sporting success, even individual pupils achievements. They are usually changed every week.
Last week the one just round the corner from where we are in Brisbane said:
Welcome Back
ARSS
SCHOOL
it changed before I could get a picture of it. I thought perhaps it was the work of a disgruntled teacher who was lamenting the end of the summer holiday. I pointed it out to Will.
'It stands for Acacia Ridge State School...' he said.
Yeh, right. I still go with the inference behind it.
