Going the 'Wang' way.
Today I went back to Dr Wang.He had asked me to monitor my blood pressure with my own blood pressure monitor and take it back after a week. That was over two weeks ago......I know......I should have gone sooner but it has been a pretty hectic few weeks.Anyway, I went today and took my readings. He looked at them and coughed."You need to see a Dr," I said.He laughed. My readings are all over the place......some are still high and some are normal. He was considering changing my medication but was reluctant to up the dosage as some of my readings are normal and stronger tablets may make my blood pressure too low.He said there was another test I could do, where I wear a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours. It will give a clearer picture of how to proceed but it costs $100. He wanted to know what I thought."You can't be too careful with your health," I said. "I'll do it."I am to go back to Sunnybank Private Hospital.I went and did some shopping in Woolies after. The chatty girl on the till, in the time that it took her to scan my '5 items or less' , got out of me that I was from the UK and arrived here in October and that we came here to look after my partner's mother, before she handed me the receipt! No wonder I didn't get a job there.........I can't compete with that! She needs her own chat show!
