Still jumpy....after all this time.

After almost a year on 'Danger Island' I am a little more relaxed about moving around in the open and yet I am not blasé.Tonight whilst popping down to put some recycling in the bin I was startled by something lying on the lawn beside Roxy in the darkness.I almost squealed but the loud people over the road were sitting on their balcony talking loudly.I was a little relieved to see that it was not snake shaped.It looked suspiciously like a bat....but I have not heard of bats moon bathing upon lawns or resting, lying down rather than hanging upside down. I surmised it was a dead bat and gave it a wide berth to dump the junk in the recycling bin but could not resist going for a closer look on the way back.It was Will's hankie.
