Yum cha!
Today I ate a chicken's foot!......I didn't wake up and make that my aim for the day....it just happened.We went for Yum Cha (Dim sum) with Danny, Xiaoling and Lesley over at Slack's Creek.It was a popular restaurant and was full of Chinese people. Xiaoling did all the ordering and sat there and chuckled as I looked in disbelief at the bamboo baskets filled with Chinese delicacies.We had chicken feet, beef tendon....which was just like a glutinous jelly, abilone, prawn gyoza, a strange pastry wrapped in a white rice paste, pork dumpling, a lovely flaky pastry custard tart, a hunk of plain sponge cake and tripe, washed down with never ending cups of Chinese tea.It was different. I don't mean to be rude but I think I would prefer to call it 'Hmmm cha' rather than 'Yum.'
