(No) Labour Day.

It is a public holiday........Labour Day, commemorating the achievements of the Australian Labour Movement. The origins lie in the 'Eight Hour Day' movement...."On 21 April 1856 Stonemasons and building workers on building sites around Melbourne, Australia, stopped work and marched from the University of Melbourne to Parliament House to achieve an eight-hour day. Their direct action protest was a success, and they are noted as the first organized workers in the world to achieve an eight-hour day with no loss of pay, which subsequently inspired the celebration of Labour Day." (Wikipedia)There will be little 'Labour' today.Daylight Saving Time started yesterday too in NSW, ACT, SA, V and Tasmania........It doesn't change here in QLD but somehow my phone decided to change too making us get up an hour earlier than we needed too!It is the beginning of Spring but it feels like Summer.......I have not seen a cloud since we arrived and the temperature has been hovering around 30 degrees.As for the sock drawer rodents........I have caught three already!
