The last 'Hope'.
So...today was day 4 in the realm of Toerag and Fidget and the last day of this school term.Perhaps it was Divine Intervention but Fidget and A were both absent for a second day. I cannot deny I was relieved but this class can be challenging even without those two. Again B came in after Morning Tea a different girl, loud and silly and unco-operative. I really think it must be sugar related and something she ate at break. We had to go to the Stadium at 12.00 to see a Pantomime. I was expecting a professional group but it turned out to be a group of local children. They were introduced by the aged Mrs Flitwick who also played the keyboard and switched the CD player on and off."Is this Mrs Flitwick and her troop of Dramatic Orphans?" I enquired of the teacher sat next to me.I was expecting it to be dreadful and there was some awful over acting but it was quite funny in parts and the evil magician, who was about 10, scared two of the 'Preppies' to tears. The children sat very well and even B and Toerag were well behaved....thankfully.When the show was over the young actors asked the children if they had any questions. Brock, in my class, asked the boy playing the Narrator who his favourite actor was."'Moi' of course!" he replied with a dramatic flourish.3.00 pm couldn't come soon enough.I survived the week and am looking forward now to my two weeks of freedom.
