Busy days.
So...this week we had visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nicole and Chris who are in the middle of a fabulous tour of Australia. When they return home they will have done Adelaide, The Ghan, King's Canyon, Uluru, Sydney, Brisbane for the Test Match, O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, The Atherton Tablelands, Daintree, The Great Barrier Reef and of course Frogknot! Will and I slept for three nights in Blue Moon House...
I did not sleep well the first night as it was all very different from our usual bed and the noises of the night were far louder than those dampened by straw bale walls but I equipped myself with ear plugs for the next two nights and slept like a log.I took Nicole and Chris to Girraween on Wednesday...

On their last morning we discovered that we had forgotten to lock up the 'chooks' the night before. I had heard the chickens, despite my earplugs, crying out in alarm sometime after dawn, but thinking they were safely locked up did nothing. We couldn't find Iris anywhere and thought that she had been taken by a fox but she later, happily, turned up before Nicole and Chris left.Thursday was my penultimate day at the local school and was as hectic as usual. Today was my first day where I was free to do what I liked in what seems like ages and I just did nothing. It was simply wonderful.I am just back from the Library Staff Christmas meal...
