We got the power!.....nearly.

So...as Blue Moon slowly rises we have splashed out on new solar panels and new batteries to give us, hopefully, the uninterrupted power we will need. The 10 panels are in Brisbane and we are going to collect them this weekend in Sky Blue but the batteries finally arrived today.We ordered them a few weeks ago and Will asked specifically if they could be delivered to our door, because the six of them are so heavy, and was told that they would be. However they ended  up only being delivered to the parcel depot in Stanthorpe. Will rang the battery company to ask why they had not been delivered to our door and they said that they should have been but it turns out that the delivery company only delivers to the postal depot in this area. Well that was not our problem because we had asked for, paid for and been told that they would be delivered to our door so the battery company contacted the delivery company who said they would deliver for another $200. The battery company agreed to foot the bill and said last Friday that they would be delivered Saturday or Monday at the latest. They still had not been delivered by Tuesday! We had to ring again to see what was going on but eventually they arrived today.....well, not actually to our door. They are next door at our neighbours. The truck unloaded them there as they have to go on a concrete pad and when Dave gets a chance he will bring them over with his Bobcat.We could soon be using an electric fridge and use the washing machine without putting on 'Geronimo' the generator. Imagine that!
