Frogknotians 18.

Frogknotians.

Chapter 18.Verse 1;And it came to pass that in the first month Nick didst receive an epistle saying ‘Art though a teacher, and wilt though suffer the little children to come unto thee or not?’ And Nick didst ponder upon these things. The rewards of suffering the little children were great but should he forsake them and dwell in the House of the Word forever? And lo, Nick saw the light and spake saying ‘Yea, I will suffer the little children to come unto me but only on occasions and upon mine own terms and so it came to pass. And in the second month Nick didst call unto the Underworld High Commission and spake saying ‘For 1460 days and nights I have dwelt in the Underworld, canst I now become a Citizen of thy lands?’ And they spake saying ‘Send us thy documents and a mighty fee and we shall ponder upon these things.’ Nick didst and waited patiently in the Wilderness.Verse 2;And they didst both continue to toil upon the Temple of the Moon when Will was not tending his baby cheeses and Nick was not dwelling in the House of the Word and it didst rise up slowly unto the heavens but the work wast hard and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth and perhaps a little cursing and blaspheming.Verse 3;And in the eighth month they didst journey once again unto Eden to visit with the Mother of Nick, his brethren, his sistren and the sons of Nick. And they didst journey about the land greeting friends and family for one score days and ten before returning unto the Underworld once more where they collapseth into a deep sleep in the Wilderness.Verse 4;And it came to pass that Will was called upon to speak out about the baby cheeses, Yea, even upon the magic lantern, that spake in tongues, and the people flock-ed to see the baby cheeses and it was good. But sadly there came no Kings bearing gifts. And lo, He took out his horn and didst blow upon it and make merry as a minstrel for a group of travelling players who didst perform under the stars and battle-ed a terrible wind. And the people came to see and listen beneath their rugs and blankets and didst rejoiceth when it was finally over.Verse 5;And in the eleventh month Nick didst call out unto the Underworld High Commision and spake saying ‘Hast though forgotten to make me a citizen of thy lands?’ and they replied saying ‘Hush, dost not thou know that it canst take two score months and none to look upon thy documents?’ Nick was bewildered by this news but didst pickup his jaw and walk. And at the ending of the year the House of Will continueth to fall but the Tower Of the Moon still riseth and lo, the end is in sight. And the hot, bright star didst return unto the sky and the serpents didst slither upon the land once again and that was not good. But in the New Year, Phoebe the daughter of Will returneth unto the House of Will, yea even for seven days, and bringeth her own horn. Let us pray that she not bringeth down the Temple of the Moon when she blows upon it. And also in the New Year they shall journey, once again, unto Eden for the wedding of Josh, the eldest son of Nick, and Helena, and it shall be good. And so it is written and so it shall come to pass. Here endeth the lesson.
