So...meet Manitou...
He is a Rhode Island Red. He will now look after our free rangers when we eventually let them out again. We are going to move some of our smaller hens back into the old pen to live with Quetzalcoatl, formerly Elvis, our other new rooster.

He is a Frizzle/Polish/Araucana cross. We doubt with his hairdo that he will see any danger coming, so he will be in charge of our captive flock, plus if they were all put together Manitou would probably eat him alive.Manitou is crowing already...but Quetzalcoatl is still a bit bewildered, and probably still bumping into things in his new home. He will be fine when we add the ladies later.
