Trauma!
So...yesterday while on another road maintenance check we decided that it might be best to get Tessa's van back down the road ready for her departure a day early. The road was deteriorating quickly with all the run off. Will was going to drive it down and he only just got the van round the dam before it sank up to its axle in mud. We had to call on our neighbour Dave, for assistance to get it out and he had trouble getting up our road to help us. Dave had to pull the bogged van out five times on the very stressful trip down the hill. The worst part was halfway down where a sink hole was developing.
I never thought for one minute that we would get Tessa's van past that bit but we did. Poor Will looked ill when we finally got it to safety. We were all stressed out except Dave. Today Tessa has headed off to Brisbane to continue her trip and we have had to move our cars down to the bottom of the hill via our neighbour's driveway as we can no longer get up our road anymore until we get it repaired and that won't be until it has dried out.
