Catch up!

So... we have been somewhat preoccupied recently with upcoming plans but here is a catch up from the last few weeks.

We had some Rainbow Lorikeets visit our bird table

...and a very brave little skink hung around for awhile.

We went to the Stanthorpe Show and saw a very interesting snake talk by Drew who used to be our local Snake Catcher but he has now moved up near Hervey Bay.

The Book Cave is closed but we are still offering book collection and delivery services until the new extension is completed.

I caught a feral cat that I spotted lurking in the garden one night.

Will and I have built a fence around the new loo to mirror the shape of the bamboo screen around the shower on the opposite side of the house.

We are hoping to grow grape vines along the wire fence to create a living screen.

We had a flying visit down to the coast so Will could chat to Rochelle Summerfield about the upcoming exhibition at Grafton Gallery that he is helping her with. We had a lovely walk along the coast through the Yuraygir National Park, home to an endangered Coastal Emu population. In 2019 an intense bush fire swept through the park and the path was closed for a long time. There are signs of recovery but many of the mature trees have been wiped out and the ravages of the fire are still apparent.

Meanwhile back at Frogknot life goes on...
