Fira to Oia.

So... yesterday we caught the bus from Oia to Fira and walked the 8 miles back to Oia along the edge of the Caldera. It was a great walk with stunning views. Here is the day in lots of pictures.

The Day started bright.

We could see some of the other neighbouring islands...

We headed down the eastern side of the Island on the bus...

The curved cliffs of Santorini are the edge of an ancient volcano...

I wondered if this island was the volcanic plug and perhaps it might one day erupt again.
