Settling back.

So...we have nearly been back a week now. Will seems fully recovered from COVID but I am still struggling with an annoying cough.

We returned to find all our silkies gone. We had been told by our neighbours a few weeks ago that a fox had visited and three had gone but four survived however since then the fox must have returned and taken the rest. We should have penned them up more thoroughly before we left, but they had lived in the garden for months ranging freely and happily. Mr Fox took advantage of our absence and enjoyed a feathered feast.

I have battled with the overgrown grass but have tidied it up and had to make repairs to our fairy lighting after rodents tried to sabotage it. They also ransacked the inside of my car while we were away but I will get my revenge eventually. The windscreen wipers are playing up but I hope that is not more rodent sabotage and just something that has worked loose. Will thinks he can sort it.

Will has been back making cheese for the last two days in his new making room and we have also had two days of rain giving us 70 mms and our tanks are overflowing again.

I am back in the Book Cave from Thursday. The good news is the Saturday mornings sitting in the park in the Book Van have been canned due to it being a waste of time and serving very few customers. Saturday mornings will now be spent tidying, shelving and collecting books from our off site storage facility.

The possums and walleroos have not forgotten us and like us are settling back into the old routine.
