Queensland decides.
So......the upshot of the voting yesterday saw Campbell Newman, the present Liberal Premier, lose his seat in Ashgrove.......in defeat he announced he was leaving politics. There was a big swing to the Labour party across the State.....with it looking very likely that Annastacia Palaszczuk will be able to form a Government and become the new Labour Premier of Queensland. The votes are still being counted. The Liberals have 40 seats, Labour 43, there are 3 Independent seats and 3 seats still undecided.Pauline Hanson didn't win her seat but she, worryingly came a very close second! But, on a positive note Queensland now has 2 indigenous MP's, the first for 41 years. The future starts now.
